never liked the sc. worked on lexus for a long time at a shop. great cars but never liked them as much as a 240. needed a car and my boss found a 5sp in florida so i just bought it. lol. turned out great. other choice was a mk3 supra and s13 240 but hard to find in decent shape for a decent price in midwest(generally).
i started loving the car when i started to drift it. heated seats dont hurt either.

Other benefits, once I did buy it.
Works very well for a professional image when I go to work at my private practice.
My 20 year old son loves it, he's into the import tuner scene, but doesn't see this as an old man car.
People think it's newer than it is (mines a 96) and they think I paid a lot more for it than I did.
That isn't why I bought it, that's just the added benefit that I got once I did buy it. I didn't get all those benifits with my LS, ES, and RX.

I'm 6'3!!!!! I had been driving my wife's '89 Acura Integra for the last three years... so I sat with my legs like this: < > just to touch the pedals, lol!
Also, I had researched the Acura Legend, Nissan Maxima, and Altima 3.5, but the Legend was impossible to get (in manual, as it is a 6-speed), the Maxima is ugly and doesn't handle as well, and the Altima was too expensive...
Henceforth I bought a '93 SC 300!!!

1. Somewhat easy to get it boosted.
2. "affordable" luxury
3. Looks great
I was talked into getting this car by todd (rising_sun) a while ago. He told me a lot of things that got me really interested. What I didnt know about the car was that it shared a lot with the supra and that sealed the deal. I ended up getting the 400 which was great till it got smashed up. But the Turbo-300 rocks my socks.
