Default Himming and Hawing at selling my car (opinions needed)

I have a 92 SC300 automatic that is black on tan. Interior is in decent shape, exterior is in good shape with a few dings. 165,000 miles, no leaks runs great.

I found locally a 92 SC300 five speed forest green on tan with 169,000 miles. I'm unsure of the condition, but I have been thinking of picking it up and selling mine.

I have yet to look at it, but I did see it for sale on the highway last month on my way back from TN but never stopped to look.

What do you guys think? I know my car is reliable, but who knows about this thing.

Best thing to do is look at it first and compare with your car..Then you will have an idea if its worth it to keep your car or spend more $$ fixing the other...even tho it is a 5SPD!

There both 92s and about the same miles so, your not really going back. As in coin collecting, condition is everything.

That's what I would do, if I was looking for a daily driver. If you know you are going to swap out the 2jz-ge to something else... and the interior is going to get redone or removed... What I would do is check how straight the body and frame is and start having some fun. It truly depends on what you are going to expect from your car. Good luck with your decision.

I already have on tap a 97 front end conversion and front clip respray. Next summer is an interior refresh.

I decided to keep mine.

5-Speed would be nice, but he said the AC does not work and was checked to be a ton of different things, including a hole in the condensor...lol.

Mine needs a compressor.

Hey! Keep the BLACK SC!!!

If you want to go for performance later, such as TT, you will be swapping out your trans. for a 6 speed anyways!

I went and test drove it. Clutch feels new.

However, the car has a lot of rust on the rockers and the AC needs a serious overhaul

Overall, a POS compared to mine.

thats too bad the car is in that bad of a shape.. I mean personally i've owned a black 94 5spd 4 years back and then a green 95 5spd now.. at first I was gonna repaint the one now black but after seeing some nicely done green sc's.. with the right wheels, color, fitment etc..it would really set it off. I would love black nonetheless but i can live with dark green too. As far as converting from auto to manual..if you're ever planning to go this route which im sure you will, if power/fun is what you want..sell it and buy an Orignal 5. I have drivin other converted cars ( not sc's but an integra and civic) and they never felt the same.
