Repainting OEM silver wheels...what brand of paint and where to purchase?
I need to touch up a set of GS silver 5 spoke rims (2nd gen) for my SC. These wheels appear to be knock-offs since their is no Toyota logo stamped on them. Finish appears a very nice silver metallic (just like OEM wheels)with clear coat(but two wheels have some curbing). My question is; who has touched up their OEM silver wheels with silver paint, what brand paint/clear coat did you use, were you happy with the match/results and where did you purchase/how much was the paint? I tried Duplicolor silver wheel paint(Autozone...not a very good/convincing color match, but the Duplicolor clear coat seems O.K.) I also have some Wurth silver wheel paint that may work out O.K., but have not tried yet. Has anyone had good success with any metallic silver spray paint on their OEM Toyota wheels?
