Default climate control

my old climate control wasnt working. some of the button lights glow but wont power on or anything so i went and bought another climate control and the same thing is still happening. none of the bottons or anything works the only thing that works is the botton lights. do any of you guys have this problem? can anyone help me fix this i got no heat or defrosters

can anyone help? my car has no heat or defrosters right now. someone please help

well, we know it isn't the climate unit........

fuses are in the drivers kick panel behind the carpet, and under the hood.

i dont think it would light up if it was a fuse though.. there should be no power going to the unit if it was a fuse.. it has to be another problem..

there must be something wrong with the circuit, maybe a short externally?

is there anything you guys recommend me doing? it really sucks driving with no defrosters.

and..... wrong.

illumination circuit has nothing to do with main unit control circuit.

Helps to have some knowledge when giving out advice,

i was about to comment on diff circuit for the illum and climate but OLT beat me to the punch.

so what can it be? i thought it was something with the wiring so i was thinking about taking it into a shop or something

and i bought a climate control from a 92 300. that should still work right?

Check the cigarette lighter fuse.

well i just check that and that is blown but what does that got to do with the climate control? ima replace this tomorrow

Good question...I don't know the answer, but this is often the issue with faulty climate control units.
