It takes a lot of money to beat the BLAH out of the GS. It's refined and all nice, but unless you have madd paper to mod it, wait until your 50 to buy one.
I made the choice between my CLK and the GS for a mid sized car and boy oh boy am I glad I chose the CLK. In stock form it gets more attention than my modded SC. When it comes to the SC however it gets it's own respect.
Where I live, the respect food chain is.........

If I had young children that I would be hauling around from time to time still, I would get a GS3/4, but since the kids are grown, I say sport coupe all the way. Back to the subject of selling. To get a better car, just add more money once you sell. Currently I think Id like to not spend much more right now.

I continue to debate with myself on whether or not to keep my SC400 when I get a new high mpg econobox. It recently passed 250,000 miles and has it's expected wear and tear.
I find the argument to keep it losing to the argument of trading it.
- Why drive the SC if my new car gets 40 mpg's and is totally reliable? Would I drive it only 15 miles a week just to keep it going?
- A 16 year old SC can turn into quite the money pit with 250K on it. Parts get harder to come by and my budget is smaller than small.
- Added insurance to keep a second car on the road as well as all other costs involved.
Still, part of me wants to see how much mileage I get out of the beast. But if I barely drive it, then what is really the point?
I don't know...

Yea the gs is not really a head turner unless is modded .Mines is stock black on black and havent received one compliment since i owned it. The sc on the other hand turns head everywhere.
A couple weeks back before i dropped the sc in the shop i was at a gas station pumping gas in the sc and a older woman pulled up in her 2000 sc400. She saw mines and could not get over it.While i was admiring the look of a brand new 2000 sc she was in love with how mines looked so different with the bodykit and rims. She even liked the intercooler.
Once you own a sc you will never find a car to replace it. I planned on modding the gs but i might end up selling it before i do anything to it. Dont get me wrong its a nicer car but lately especially with gas prices nowadays its not worth the expense. Luckily my girl loves it so now she is driving the gs and im in the 95 civic coupe .
If i had to choose between the gs or the sc I would definately pick the sc. Im not an attention ***** but im use to people complimenting me on the sc, i already miss the huge bonnet. and natural sexy curves.

That "brand new" SC is 8 years old, lol.
And I'm guessing you're British.

I know how you feel.
I think a lot of it has to do with how comfortable I was with my SC. I could take apart the interior, put it back together in minimal time and didn't have to worry about any squeaks developing. Another big thing about it was that it continued to look classy and unique.
My newer car is growing on me, especially as I work on it more and more... but it's still not the SC

LOL
I have the 3rd Gen GS350 very nice car and very powerful for its class but it couldn't take a turn like a sports car that all changed after I got the Tein SS Coilovers and Falcon Azenis Rt-615 Tires, it handles like a dream. This past week I got my Toms strut and lowerbrace very fun to drive.
Try it with the 2nd Gen GS, you will get the Sc back in the GS!!!!
It takes about 2000 Green Leafs though...hahahahah

Yes, please...tell me.
I got my springs. Tanabe NF210's...I'm just torn on what wheels to get.
Also my neighbor (who loved my SC) got back from vacation and is flipping out. He was seriously pissed off that i got rid of the car for the GS...But then I took him for a ride...He's not saying much now.
