for this reason, that's why i opted to have my double din installed recessed. Tony has pics of this when he came up to norcal for the last EOS. You can ask him for the pics, it's for reasons like this that I try to be as secured with my car as possible. And yea the double dins may sit low, but in my opinion, that's what bucket seats are for.... after installing my Bride, it's at a good height for me to do a quick glance.

 

Aye i put a double din kenwood in my car, i love it, also if worried about height can always swap locations of the climate and the radio, and move it up more.

Thanks for asking. No, I spoke with the detectives and there is not much they can do because there is no real way to identify them. The only way that can get busted is that if they get apprehended for something else and they have my cards on them, and that is not very likely because who would carry around other people's stolen cards if it is already canceled. The store videos are quite useless to identify someone if you don't know them already and the parking lot cameras cant capture the plates numbers.

For now, I am leaving the car as is. I just can't decide on whether I even want another DVD screen, just get the display for the last one, or get a cheap Alpine. CD Player. But I am getting used to the silence by now, though it would be awkward to drive around a girl with no music in the background haha

I will be very well prepared next time. I am going to revamp the alarm on this car, and most importantly remember to arm it. Should it go off, and my pager awakens me, we're going to sneak outside and incapacitate them non-lethally (with other backup options to defend my life if necessary at the last resort)
