Default BLACK HEADLIGHTS - What do you think?

I was contemplating switching my OEM headlights to these blacked out ones as the OEM's have condensation like nobody's business. Tried finding pictures of an install on CL but no luck. Found this after searching online for a while.

I don't know - I'm kind of torn. It sort of looks unique, but I don't know if I like it enough to go this route...

What say you all???????

get the black high beams from ebay. It will match better than.

I dont like black head lights. But with the brights matching it will look much better.

I agree with batmobile, do the diy. personally, i've only heard bad things about the ebay headlights such as condensation issues (OEMs and aftermarkets are both prone to condensation though, it just depends on the ventilation and how good of a job you do at sealing it). i've also heard that some aftermarket brands will not fit exactly right and you'll be using the dremel to make it fit.

as for which brands that condensate or don't fit properly, i don't know. i remember reading some threads a while back about those headlights (not sure if they're the SAME ones or what) and how they liked them. just search for something like 'black headlight' and i'm sure you'll find at least a thing or two.

It looks wierd with the high beams not matching. Otherwise if I just look at the headlights, sure why not!

if anything.. black out the oems.. but if u could, a nice newer clear set would be the best

The eBay headlights are disgusting and look hella cheesy. The OEM smoked ones that the DIY guy did look really good, but I'm not a big fan of it because the high beams kind of throw it off if you leave them clear.

i like them, i like the clear cover and black inside like the Supra, maybe you should first try to open your headlights and do something really cool with them, paint black or just clean them, deline/clear cover, etc.

black out lights you mean the OEM headlights painted black inside or you mean the black eBay headlights? for the OEM headlights you put them in oven, open them up and clean and/or paint them. you can search for a thread that will give you more details.

Also wanted to post some pics up of chrome eBay headlights on a black car from another thread:



I think the black or chrome eBay ones would "work." Obviously the chrome would match the rest of the OEM lights better but I do think black projector high beams with either custom black/clear OEM headlights or black eBay headlights would look good...haven't seen the new black or chrome projector high beams on an SC yet, though.
