heres the deal bro- the 92 sounds like a good SC- Middle aged woman- all main. records which are nice to come by nowadays.
The other 92 with 185xxx miles may need some work, just make sure its fully checked out before laying down some cash- unless your willing to risk it-
or a 97 5 spd SC with 136xxx- 97 5 spds are quite rare to come by and highly looked for in the SC community. alot of people like the 97+ body style some prefer the 92-96 body style. it all depends- but if I was you I would jump on that 97 5 spd. before someone beats you to it. that would be a nice SC to have. Is it a true 97 or a 92-96 with a 97+ body upgrade?

It really depends on you, i have the 97 in pearl and its beautiful. If you buy the black one for 2300 alot of maintenance need to be done and i believe there will be some sort of mechanic problems which could cost you over 1500 to repair labor and parts. you should check on all the records and have a mechanic check the 2300 because thats a very good price. The sc could run over 300k if you take good care of it. If you buy those models before the 97 and you plan to modify your car you would have to spend another 2000 dollars for the body kit and accessories. It's really what you plan to do with your vehicle. Are you planing to just drive it or play with it.
In my opinion i would get the 1997 pearl for 8000, with 136,000 thats a very good milage on this car. It could last you forever. And plus if you don't like the 1997 sc you could always sell it much easier and faster and for more 97+ models

hey guys I am looking to buy a black 92 sc300 5spd with tan leather interior mint condition. The car has 106xxx miles.
The Original owner is a middle aged woman and has all maintenance records and all up to date service done.
Is paying $8500 too much??
or should i get a 92 black 5speed with 185xxx in not so mint condition instead for $2300??
or a 5 spd pearl white 97 sc300 for $8000 with 136xxx miles??

Just buy this one, knock it down some for the rear main seal leaking and you need to get that fixed. Ask around to see how much it would cost. You get an amazing car that has been modded tastfully and you will enjoy it for years to come. Here is where you will find it:

Just found this thread with a quote from a dealer to replace Rear Main Seal for $1,200.00. Seems a bit steep, but gives you an idea:
