My SC400 is missing the front lip. What are they buying from home depot to make one. I priced it at Lexus for over $300 dollars for a piece of plastic....
jwrape, that lip came out really nice on the red starion! If i didn't have a factory SC4 Lip, I'd probably rock one of these DIY lips for a autoX/track day. Good work you guys.
just bought that garden divider last night, i'm gonna put it on in a little bit. i'll give you guys an update once i'm done w/ it...
damn..i'm already done(took less than 1 hour) but to bad i don't have a camera w/ me..doesn't look that bad at all if you ask me, doesn't look professionally of course but it'll work for me, just a little worry how it'll handle while driving on the interstate it's not stiff enough and a little to wobbly. the only part that took long was cutting the top piece off, you'll know what i mean when you get it. btw it only cost me $9 for a 20' piece at Home Depot...
I tried this on a friend's car this weekend and if you look at it from ^ that angle the lip looks good. But as soon as you look at it from the front, it looks horrible. The bottom of the bumper is shaped in such a way that the bottom of the lip is visible on the sides. It just doesnt look good IMO.
Here's a poor quality camera shot of mine. I just took this. Car's clean.
I can do this because I'm getting a 97 cover in two weeks and had the edging laying around. Notice my yeller fog lights I threw on as well. My headlight aiming on the D side is busted so these are a temp fix.
