honestly if someone who don't have lots of money like myself then this custom HD lip is a good upgrade IMO...i just can't afford to buy a $500 lip, to much bills to worry about....

This is how mine turned out while I'm waiting on my front end to come in for my black car:

Before:

After:

Hold all of the negative comments - I'm waiting on parts to come in and the entire car is going into the shop. This was to get the neighbors to shut up about the eyesore I've had up on jack stands for 2 weeks pulling an oil pan and rebuilding the top end. The bottom is braced in the back with a 2" wide thin piece of steel used for mounting gutters. Total cost was $23.XX

for the dudes with the ones that the screws are showing externally, why not use some bondo and bondo over the screws, then get a can of factory paint and clear from duplicolor and pray over the primered lip? It would look good like a real lip and cover the screws. I think im going to try this sometime soon on my spare and ill post pics back.

Its not about not affording it right away, its about saving up and doing it right the first time.
you dont see people putting leaf blowers on their car till they can afford a real turbo kit.

If you did use yard edging from HD, how did you manage to bend it so that it flares out a little bit?
I bought regular garage edging and flipped it using the back side so when i stuck it to my umper it flared out. if anyone has questions i'd be glad to help just pm =D

I don't see how doing things yourself is ghetto, We all have to make the best with what we got, spending $300-$500 is good if ur never gonna enjoy ur car. I can't stand having a pretty car and just looking at it, i'd rather be having a little fun and doing crazy **** on it, besides doing this mod doesn't make our cars one thing close to a honda, the difference with me and a honda ricer is that i know what i'm doing and that my car can look 10 times better with some DIY mods rather than their cars, Besides i hate how people think you need name brand things to make a car good, what purpose does a lip serve, nothing. It's just cosmetics, it's the same **** if u ask me, except everyones lip is different. I think the problem is that everyone wants to have their car look the same, for example, alot of ppl rock the vertex kit, which is cool but god. add a little variety, make ur car ur own please, don't just do what the last guy did. if that makes ppl hate on me, then go for it. I don't mind, cause in then end my car will be just as bad *** without the ridicolous amount of money spent on name brand parts.
