I prefer to stay within 200 miles when looking at a used car.

i bought my sc300 on craigslist as well but you dont need to be in a middle school relationship by shooting email back and forth... you gotta call the people and meet up... as for shipping, ive always wanted to test the product before i buy it.

Thanks for the inputs guys. well, I thought it was worth a try so I sent him the payment since he assured me of the ebay protection plan and he sent me a lot of convincing pics that it was real. I sent the payment yesterday and have been trying to contact him since yesterday night, he has stopped picking up the phone so...

wow I can't believe you really think I fell for it!

Sadly enough, I remember seeing this exact picture on ebay not too long ago (was legitimate auction, though). I want to say the guy was selling it for deceased uncle or dad. REALLY clean, and only had ~50k miles or so.

The fun part of these scams is to be like "Where is the car? I'd like to come look at it tonight" then they don't know what to do =)

The old saying, "If it's too good to be true, naive people will fall for it!" LOL
