a/c not wroking blakcout on a.c control

not having a.c sucks...while drivin the a/c just went out..i looked at the climate conrtol (top lcd screen on center council) and it was out...before i was albe to only see half and now its completly off...mechaniclly the a.c is fine..is this a common problem? is this the problem?

i picked up a new AC control on fleabay.. $9.99, works great..

You can buy a kit and replace your lcd yourself for $125, but i figured at $10, i can replace it 12 times for cheaper, soooo.... it's up to you...
