man that sux, glad you all are alright. and way to hop back on the horse again.

i dont think a fire extinguisher would really help very much with a fuel fire that is behind the engine. i am still ordering one now though.

it's amazing how the fire can spread fast like that...
How long did the fire spread to get into that craziness?

Disaster.

Man, I am really sorry that you have had your second SC catastrophe in months. It is a heartbreaker to see something like this happen.

It is inspiring to see you have ordered another SC300 from Gazi already. Given the circumstances, I think it is safe to say that your persistance is unrivaled.

Good luck getting your feet back on the ground.

yea that sucks i was in the same boat abotu 3 months ago when mine aso caught fire from behind the engine i had my pcv line all dry rotted and with the excess heat from my turbo install it decided to crack and drip onto my downpipe the engine fire i had wasnt what killed me that i was actually able to control with a bottle of water it was when the fiberglass insultor underneith the hood caught that stuff would not go out, just my .02 EVERY car espically modified ones should carry a fire extinglisher i know i learned my lesson and even if you can not put out the fire with it you still can at least keep it contained and keep your loses minimal untill the fire fighters get there to fully extinglish it

After seeing a few cars go up in flames, I not only carry a fire extinguisher. I also installed a Halon system awhile back. I have a nozzle in the engine bay in the rear of the motor and one in the passenger compartment. I cant imagine standing by helpless while my car burns

if any part of my car caught on fire I would let it burn. Let insurance total the car and start over. Who wants to deal the the nightmare that might come about after the fire.

Dang, that really sucks that it just came out of the paint shop and then it blow up... Do you think it could have had anything to do with the paint job, like if they painted the engine compartment and got a little paint on the engine, etc. and somehow started the fire...
