Drift Accident Need HELP Removing The Quarter Panel
#31
Judging by the kind of accident he had, pulling the quarter panel back into place would take a miracle and then some for someone with no body repair experience. I remember when i hit my quarter panel a while back (no i wanst drifting, i was SLIDING to avoid a deer) every shop except one said that the panel could not be salvaged. The one body shop that said it could pull the fend said it would require quite a lot of effort and even then it wouldn't be perfect.

As the others said on here, I would just consider this a lesson well learned and you're very lucky you didn't hit the other person. Don't attempt to do any of this yourself. Take the car to a respectful body shop and get it done right the first time. The damages will be well into the thousands, but just be more safe and spread the word
A few weeks back I almost got hit about 5 min from my house on a somewhat quiet road by a moron in an RX-7. He thought it would be a good idea to "drift" around the corner going about 50 mph. Later that night when I was returning home from my friend's house I saw the same car plowed right into a neighborhood entrance sign made of brick and his little POS is no more. Karma's a *****.

You sir are an idiot... dont ever practice drifting on populated roads... My best friends younger brother was hit and killed by a street racer Punk *** kid that thought he was cool and was "drifting"
I have absolutely no sympathy for you
i do body work for a living.. and your pretty much screwed, if your frame is bent or depending on how bad the damage is the repair cost would out weigh your cars worth... dont try and fix it yourself because 1 it will look like ***, 2 its not safe, your car might be bent and would be structurally unsound.
Hopefully you learned your lesson you idiot..

I do agree with what JDMmuscle and some of the other guys are trying to say. But please be careful about how you send your message.
Its kind of already bad enough that drifting has a bad reputation here in the states. If you are going to get into the sport then you should be responsible about it. Ive seen one too many accidents from people who lack common sense about the sport.
As for your fender, its pretty much done. All that is permanent damage. You can try and repair it but its going to cost you alot. That is more than enough to consider your car a total loss. I hope you make better decisions in the future. Good luck to you.

from the looks of the pic your car may have some damage to the fender well area or more. try pulling off the paneling where the damage is but honestly the damage looks like alot of work if you were going to try to pull it out and body work it...

that doesnt look THAT bad to be honest.... as long as the suspension stuff arnt damaged, check your control arms and your struts... the other guy who talked about widebody might not be such a bad idea, that why you dont need the fenders to look PERFECT you know? just a pull and cover it will do.

Quarter panel isn't a bolt on/bolt off like fenders and bumpers. It has to be cut and welded, NOT BONDOED! For the sake of the car, try to claim it on your insurance (if you have one) or fix it with cash at a bodyshop but don't do it by yourself, it is not ideal. Then sell your sc, buy a cheap (and i do mean cheap because you'll probably wreck it again) RWD corolla or something and practice drifting before you can deserve an sc

i opened this praying he means front fender...
as soon as i read his post, LOL'd and saw the first reply to LOL some more.
Am I the only one with a reuined quarter panel that is NOT due to some kind of Sliding?
My mom backed into my PARKED car in the driveway...her insurance had to pay it, and she wasn't happy...not to mention her '08 RX350 was SLIGHTLY hurt.
You're looking at A LOT of money. $3-5,000. Blue Book the car before you call insurance.
I think it is like 80 or 90% of blue book that they go off of.
if your damages are more than that percentage of the value, it's a total loss. . .GL, and work more hours next time so you can afford track time.
