Default gauges stopped working [Long]

I had most of my center console out today on my sc300 in preparation for the clutch install next weekend and anyways i had the stereo out and was just making sure everything was connected back their when i heard a POP like it was a fuse, anyways now on my instrument cluster, i have no lights and the tach and speedometer complety stopped working, all the check engine lights, oil lights still light up before i start the engine, also, my power seats only work i have the key on the first turn, in other words with the ignition turned off, i checked all the fuses under the dash today including the gauges one and ecu's and i still have no power, im very confused now, any help is apreciated, thanks in advance

Something similar happened to me recently when I replaced my dash. My problem doesn't sound exactly like yours, but similar. I never had a pop. My check engine lights, etc would work. When I turned the key to ON, the clock would go out and the odometer would be messed up. The tach and speedometer didn't work at all. I checked all fuses and everything was fine.

For me, it turned out to be a stupid mistake. There were 2 ground bolts that held down the wire harnesses on each side underneath the center console, by the shifter. I didn't bolt these back down before I put everything back together. Everything has been fine since I put those bolts back in. I hope your problem is as simple as that.

Yeah, I think they're grounds. There's actually metal around the harness where it bolts down. I thought it was just holding it down too when I rushed to put things back together. Let me know if that fixes your problem.

The ones I'm talking about are the ones on each side of the shifter, not by the stereo. That was my problem.
