HHO Generation
*(Mods please move this if you feel it should be put in a specific location. i'm not sure if there is already a thread started on this topic.)
as gas prices keep climbing, i have been starting to research methods to increase mileage. i came upon HHO generation or (water power). i was amazed at how simple the concept was and how well it worked. i am planning to build a generator and put it on my old 82 toyota pickup first and see how well it works.
if there is anyone here who has worked with, or even better installed a HHO generator on an automobile? i think alot of guys on our forum would appreciate learning about this. so if there are guys out there who know alot about this and would like to share, i think it would benefit us all.
thanks- Brian

Well yes that expend HHO but theres a lot more that goes along with it. You cant just siphon it in and you get better mileage, you have to have electronics to be leaning out the car just right to replace the gas with hho. Under acceleration a HHO generator does not produce more fuel than at idle, IMO it would take a manufacture to do a lot A LOT of r&d to make a good system. Then it would be very hard to make it model specific, basically they need to produce a car that is HHO hybrid from factory. I have made them and on a carb car just leaned the jets and it will work to a certain degree its always leaning out at some part of the rpm various parts of the rpm range....

yeah i was just reading recently about taping into the MAF and O2 sensors to adjust the signals on injected cars. on my carburated truck i was planning on doing as you said, just lean out the jets. i gues there have been guys saying that putting a vacuum on the generator helps create more gas. i think it will be a fun little project to try out. how much of a difference did it make on the vehicle you installed it on?
