Default New SC300 owner...2 questions ^-^

Hey everyone...

This is my 1st post on CL...recently picked up a 1998 SC300. Had many Nissan/Infiniti's & couple of Mazda's...but first Toy/Lex.

My 1st question: Who/what company makes a steering wheel hub adaptor for the SC's?

I've looked on several online sites and cannot for the life of me find any Lexus applications. I'd assume its the same as Supra...but wanna be sure before I order. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I don't need a detachable/quick-release...just a standard Momo/Sparco style adaptor. HELP

My 2nd question: Who/what company makes a radio surround/bezel for the SC's?

I'm planning on doing a double-din head unit to replace the factory Lexus Premium cassette player/trunk-mounted cd-changer...but it looks like the head unit opening is bigger & oddly shaped compared to standard double-din. HELP

Thanks alot in advance...and I look forward to many future posts! Also, any SoCal ClubLexus meets going on? Let me know!

(look for me on MySpace or Facebook or Friendster...use my email: unisportg@gmail.com)

1) I believe the hub adapters for an MR2 can be used on the SC as well.

2) The SC stereo is a 4.5 din (5") opening. No company that I know of makes one so it has to be custom.

Anyone...??? HELP...???

I have a 3-spoke stock wheel from a 99+ on my SC, and I think it looks great. I would just go with this one as its a direct fit.

Yes there are a few people that have Nardi's and someone has a MOMO...but most just swap TRD's and other Lexus 3 spokes. You can throw a Supra wheel on too. But I think the Supra wheels are butt-ugly. Check out the search tab at the top bar on this page. Search Steering Wheel swaps, there are a bunch of threads.

the hub off a mk3 supra works too. my buddy bought a steering wheel and a hub for his mk3 supra. the car is not done yet so we put it in my SC. the only thing you have to do with the mk3 hub that is not direct plug and play is horn.

heres mine.

all it needs is a spacer or a quick-release. its a bit too far from me for my taste.

NRG, Works Bell, MOMO are a few companies i know that make hubs for our cars.

does this allow the cruise control to still be functional and the switch to remain in the factory location?

or does anyone know a company that makes one that allows you to use the cruise control?

white steering wheel is definitely a different look
