Default New to this forum..

Hi there, Im getting my first SC300 tomorrow. So im really excited and really to work on it. I read that SC and supra, there are many interchangeable parts between them.

I have a few to ask.. If they are direct bolt on or have to mods to it?
Struts/shocks and springs
Manifold
turbos
and others... if you want to list them

I try to look on ebay for sc stuff, there isn't much as supra. So im looking for more options and cheaper alternatives ways to mod the SC.

Hey Welcome to the club! True, most of the parts are interchangeable between the Supra and the SC. If you look further into this forum you will see just which ones exactly. There are also some pretty cool mods that you can do to your SC which can be cost effective. Just stick with us and you'll learn so much about your car you might even teach us a thing or two.

the few parts you have listed are interchangeable, but the others area a no go

You are right that any shock/spring combo for the Supra can go into the SC with no problems. The only major issue is ride height. What ever the listed ride height is for the Supra subtract about .5-1.0 in. off the original number and thats the ride height for the SC.

The intake/exhaust manifolds, however, are a different story. If you want to take a manifold designed for the Supra Twin turbo they will not fit. The SC300 2JZ-GE and the Supra 2JZ-GTE have different head designs and the intake/exhaust ports dont match up properly. The 2JZ-GTE cams will work just fine, but you'll have to look elsewhere for a manifold setup.

The turbo manifolds dont work either, so you cant bolt up the OEM Supra TT turbos on there unless you fab a custom manifold to fit. There are, however, single turbo kits out there specifically designed for the non-turbo Supras/SC300. Go to clubna-t.com for tons of info regarding turbo setups.

Post some pics of your car as soon as you get you hands on it. Also do tons of searching on here as you'll be all set to mod your SC. Good luck and welcome!
