i have been meaning to black mine out, i have the tape, just not the time, or the temp. the tape has some temp requirements, so i will stick better, and of course keep dry x amount of hours, besides just getting my garage cleaned out so i can work, its been hot as crap here recently.

I'm waiting for the next thread "I broke my rear windows trying to take out my trim".
It's glued to the glass. I don't know why since it is also bolted into the window frame and you'd think that would be enough. I've seen people pull and pry until the chrome bends, then get pissed and try to finish removing it only to watch the glass shatter.
Go to the store and buy some 3M blue painters tape and mask it off.

lol O.L.T. i already decided not to do that and just mask it so dont worry, but since im afraid i might not like the results i used my black vinyl. heres a pic of i did for my passenger side, tell me what you guys think of it, even if its just minor.

as always ^^ haha chanh55, we all know how your car already look soo nice&clean :P but about painting it, do you suggest primering it? i was planning on doing a thin layer of primer and then about 2-3 thin layers [after each has dried]of gloss black. what do you/guys think?

yeah im actually enjoying the black trim.
tommysc - as for the carbon fiber trim, are you talking about the vinyl that are actually just grey and black bricks? lol but its not that bad, as long as it floats your boat you know.
chanh55 - the black vinyl that i used actually looks clean, you know the regular black trim along side of the chrome? when i stick it on, it looks like one piece
ill get a close up pic to show you today.
peter 95 - yeah i know it was really hard for me to decide, but then i took a closer look and some of the original black along the chrome and was already flaking off becoming chrome, so i would actually have spots of chrome on the driver side = yuck to me lol
