Default What do you think of these wheels

I found a great deal which is hard to pass up on a set of VSR 18x7.5 with a 40 offset. The kid is asking $250 for them and they are brand new in the box. The only thing that is stopping me is the width of 7.5. Any one have a rim this size on a sc300 or 400 other than stocks? What is the biggest size tire I can fit on these rims?

thats like stock width, i'd definitely suggest something a bit wider with a lower offset. You will probably not like the way these will look on your car.

Dont get them, you'll be unhappy with them and end up getting different wheels in the long run. Save your $$$ and get a size with the correct offset and a wider wheel for the rear.

I've made this mistake before. I bought a set of 17" Konigs for my SC 4 years ago before I really got involved on ClubLexus. Didnt take my long to ditch them for Supra TT wheels. I tried finding you a picture but cant seem to find it from my old posts.

That was going to be my next question. I am not so worried about the look of the stock width since car is stock. I just don't want the rim to look to sunkin in.

Not so bad if you are on a budget...
And if you are running spacers they are about 8 bucks at pep boys, get like a 6mm or 8mm. Unless you buy the 100 dollar per pair of spacers then you might as well keep your money for better rims.

7.5 is waay to narrow for the huge wheel wells of the SC. I run 8 in the front with 38 et and it is so sunk in I'll probably need a 15mm spacer to get it right. Save your money and get it right the first time.

I guess for the price its really not bad. But the thing that gets to me and mostly everyone else is the width of the wheel. I think the max you can go is maybe a 245 with a slight crown. The offset is pretty sunken so you'll definetly need a set of thick spacers to push them out. But if you like them then go for it.

Look into RAZE (not rays) wheels those were my choice until i came up on good rotas. Rotas are cheap but RAZE are cheaper. Or you can even shop at wheelmax.com and they have cheap specials all the time. BSA = bbs wheels. Look into those too..sorry for rambling, i am drunken lol
