Do I wanna Buy this SC 400?
So I have been looking for a SC for a while now. I came across one today that might work but I need your opinion on the car. it's a 1993 SC 400. it has some front end damage. it would need a new a-arm, radiator, front right fender, and front bumper. from what I can tell the body is straight. its just body panels. it has 161,000 miles and clear title. the guy wants a $1000.It runs fine buy the way.
my plans are one day to do a 2jzgte swap. and on this car have the leather seats redone.
So what do you guys think?

I paid $5,500 for my 1992 SC400 with 105k miles, in near mint condition garaged by my grandparents for 15 years, driven to the grocery store and back. The more I read in these forums, the more value I am seeing in these specific cars. They are AMAZING! Wife is running down to Padre Island in it right now, having a ball!

All these good deals. I wonder why the value of the SC is dropping like that. Well anyway it does sounds like you have to put in quite a bit of work to at least make it look good. But for $1000 and a good running motor I wouldn't argue. If you're willing to invest time and money then go for it.
