Default Parking lights on all the time issue, *HELP*

Hello everyone.

I recently purchased a 2JZ GTE swapped SC300, and I noticed today that as long as the key is in the ignition, all of the parking lights(Tail lights, sidemarkers, and headlight parking lights) are always on even when all the lights are turned off. Has anyone have had this or similar issues before? Or at least know where to look to find the root of this problem?

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
JP

I dont think the swap will cause this unless they added a different chasis harness .You might want to look at the wiring where the radio is located.

Yeah none of that wiring goes into the engine harness itself so, it *shouldn't* have anything to do with the engine swap itself, *unless* they played around with wiring on the chassis side.

So you're saying that you get in the car and as soon as you put the key into the ignition all of the lights turn on?

It looks like the combination switch is a ground switch for the parking light and headlamp relays. But before the trigger wire runs to the combination switch, it goes through the integration relay located in the driver's footwell. Im assuming there is a problem with an engine side harness wire that has triggered the integration relay to ground the outgoing trigger wire that runs to the parking light relay. I should have more information when I get an electrical manual in my hands instead of researching all this crap online.

sounds more like they tweaked with the wires, it could be on chassis side or engine side if they didn't know what they were doing (which i think is true ) and was trying to get the gauges to light up

Yes it did! It was caused by previous owners ghetto installations of turbo component electronics powering from the fuse box, triggering the tail fuse to be powered on all the time when the ignition is on.(tach adaptor was powered with two wires, 1 wire through Tail fuse, AND directly from ECU power wire, which explains this problem )

I re-installed everything and problem solved!
