black tail lights (on black SCs) look cool, what was wrong with them, isn't the paint transparent?

i think so too, but they are illegal unfortunately.

oh, need to have the reflectors visible or something else, too? if you take the paint off the 97+ tails they'll still look bad-***.

If you do smoke them, you should lightly smoke the inside red lens like how this picture looks.

Everything you do to your car in Cali is against Cali vehicle codes, it's just a matter of when you get pulled over, not if and also if the cop is nice enough to give you only a warning, instead of a ticket.

Yep, even in KS way back in 87 I got ticketed for blacked out tails.

Damn im must be lucky then, if had these for almost a year and a half and iv pretty much been all over the US with them, the entire east coast and mid-us
havent been pulled over once

Yeah its such a pain. But these laws were made for a reason. Safety reasons. I say spray a light layer of smoke instead of the 5% blacked out tails.
