Exclamation How can I get my windows up? No engine in car??

Ok so I have my engine out of the car (SC400) and my windows are down. The car is outside under a tarp now, because I am building my race car also and waiting for parts for the lex. How can I get the windows up?

The only harness that is out of the car is the engine harness.

How do I power the power windows?

Thanks
Josh

you can hook up a 12V power source to the window regulator (after removing door panels). this will make the regulator send the window up or down. reverse the +/- ends of the power source to move the window in the opposite direction.

or with the panels off, you can manually jack up the windows and prop them up with a piece of wood, or a C clamp, etc. be careful not to put too much stress on the cables because they are somewhat fragile

what does the engine harness have to do with the windows? if the chassis harness is still in the car then other electronics should work too.

This works like a charm, I've done it several times.

or you could try putting a thin cloth over the very tip top of the windows and pulling them up with a set of pliers? i do that with my drivers side window considering my regulator just broke and my window will slowly fall randomly

I dont know bro. dont ask me why they wouldnt work with the chassis harness still in the car, because I have no idea. All I know is that they wouldnt go up when I hooked up the bat. to the chassis harness that was still in the car.

Lexus/Toyotas are weird with there wiring, everything is interconnected and ****. If one thing is not connected in the circut, then a bunch of things wont work.
