how do you take the oem e-brake handle off?

Default how do you take the oem e-brake handle off?

do i just pull on it? does it unscrew? how do i get this thing off?!

actually..according to that link you just gave..it says that velcro part is just the boot cover..not the actual cover. it seems that you would have to cut it off.

im talking about the actual leather handle itself. i searched and found someone saying something about a dremel, but it didnt go into detail. i would hate to cut it off..

just buy a new handle assy. they're not that expensive, maybe $70ish?

Handle assy. + new cover = $120 max...

are you trying to reupholster it? take a stitch remover and cut the stitches (if you dont care about the leather on it use a sharp knife.)

thats to take the leather off.

what do you need to do anyways?

If you want to use an aftermarket one, you're going to have to cut into it... However, like ACleanSC4 said, new ones are pretty cheap. I got mine from Pembroke Pines Lexus for $61+shipping I believe. Their parts website is easiest to find if you google "Trademotion Pembroke Pines." Then after that, look in 'catalogs>mechanical>brakes>parking brake>parking brake control.'

damn, i was hoping i didnt have to cut it off.

so then whats the point of buying a new one if i have to cut the handle off? unless it doesnt come with the handle preassembled on it..?
