trunk lock on the kick panal

Default trunk lock on the kick panal

i tried searching but nothing, so all i have is a valet key on a sc i just got. and the lock on the kick panal was pushed in, is there a way for me to unlock it without the master key?

Take it to a locksmith he should be able to find the cut to make it a master key.

isnt there a way to mess with electrical to do it?
like disconnect the lock and then use a battery or something to operate the trunk lock.

I have no idea, but try getting in there and if its anything like an ignition you should be able to turn the back solenoid with a flat head. ( Ignition i refer to is off a 240) Just giving suggestions.

so your saying is to replace the ignition on the kick panal to one that i have an actual key to?

umm you can also get a push button and ghetto rig it like that. I forgot the colors of the cables you need to connect to get it to pop open. I know I did this when I couldn't find my key. Good old alligator clips did the job. (removes the security that Lexus put on it.) I found the key was under the seat not the trunk.

if you mess with it you should be able to get it unlocked. take the panel off and stick a small flat head inside the back of the lock. you should be able to pop the lock forward.

yeah i only have a valet key also, behind the lock is a tab u can push to release the lock, but u gotta take down the bottom panel its pretty easy.

wow that sounds almost too easy as if there has to be a catch, but i just called kerny mesa lexus and cost about 55 bucks for a flat master key, ill be getting one but ima look under the kick panal for the mean time.

i took out the entire kick panal where the trunk lock is bolted to, and i see no tab...or im unsure about it, a lil help please?

got the lock out, will be intsalling it back in, and hopfully i hear a pop after a click at the trunk latch~!
