OMG, anyones ebrake ever give out?

The best is when the shoes are cooked, and you have to reef on the lever with both hands for the rear wheels to lock (well, I do, seperated left shoulders suck). Now just imagine this, but understeering into a corner at 60.

There's a little rubber cover on the rear brakes so you can peek in at the brake shoes. Have you checked them yet? Or did the cable adjustment fix your problem?
I'd recommend keeping the car in gear whenever you park as well, it's a good habit.

My new SC has a weak Ebrake, i never ever left any of my 5spds in gear when parked, but even tighting my ebrake now i leave it in gear just to be safe after hearing these horror stories of ebrakes giving out lol..

damn that sucks. gotta adjust my cable on my car, just found out recently when i parked it on a hill. good think i always turn the wheel toward the curb and leave it in gear or i may have gotten into a similar situation.
