For $42,000 I could build three 500hp sc300's and that includes finding a decent donor car for each build lol

For the money, the supra isn't worth it. I have had a chance to ride in a mkiv becuase my cousin found an original tt auto (not original motor, replaced with usdm 2jz-gte though) with some mods for $18,000. The supra is very loud on the inside and is not very comfortable for people much taller than 5'8". The supra also doesn't look that good (it looks good at certain angles and that's it) I would rather have a sc with a 2jz-gte and v160 and call it a day

LMFAO........i totally agree with you...problem is alot of people have whats called a " Denial to greatness because they cant afford it" i've said it before and i say it again. I at the moment cannot afford a supra...i'm not a hater nor im in denial. My friend had a bpu car a few years back that i drove and worked on for him a few times...i'm 5"11 and did not feel uncomfortable driving it. Theres no back seat..yes...supra is shorter then Sc by 2.5-3" Most of the space is cut out the rear area so the driver cannot feel no difference.

LOL you know you can't just "put the same mods" on a v8 and an inline 6...

6'4" and I fit in the drivers seat of both cars just fine. Passenger's side not so much. Looks, I love the way the both of them look. It's really down to preference and price. I have seen some 100k + SC builds and anyone would be hard pressed to park it next to a Supra and pick which one is better.

Im 6'3" the drivers seat isnt terrible in he supra but the passenger seat sucks to me. Noise is alot different between my sc400 and my cousins supra. To the comment about not being able to afford it. I'm 16 and if i really wanted a supra i could go pay cash for one right now

I'm a fan of both and they have or share merits in their own right. I prefer the styling of the SC over the Supra though.

To me, stock for stock and assuming both were new, the Supra has the look of a viscious animal whereas the SC looks like an expensive tailored suit.

I was about to say the same thing. If it was that easy all the UZ motors would be boosted.

There is ALOT of misinformation in this thread and you are like dumping it on heavy man. First I'd like to say you can buy a supra for ALOT less then $42k not sure where that # came from but both of mine could be had for around $24k.

What you've said leads me to believe you've never been in a supra, the front seat is huge considering the cars size and one of the most comfortable cars I've ever been in, very nice leather. And I can't hear **** on the inside of my black car that makes 500hp thru a 3.5" exhaust.....maybe that's because it's a nice example, but even in my gutted out red drag supra you can barely hear my exhaust from inside.

As for saying the supra is not a good looking car well.....I'm not going to address that i think you lost everyones attention after that.
