Unhappy How to waste money

I'm gonna share a story w/ all of you and you're gonna think i'm the biggest fool around but here is something else i did to screw up my car and now i gotta fork up the cash to fix it. Jus the other monday i attempted to change my trans. fluid and when i finally locate the pan, i twisted the bolt the other way and jus like that it snapped! Now the bolt wont come off and all it does is twist endlessly. And the worse part is it's slowly leaking fluid. I tried to take the pan off but there are two screws that cant be reach and i've jus decided to bring it to the dealership so they can rip me off. Damn i feel so retarded. Oh well i guess this is one of those expensive lessons in life.

It has to be a way to get to those bolts to take the pan off. Take the pan off, then get the drain bolt off. retread it or get an over size bolt. Pepboy or any auto part store sell the over size bolt.
Don't take it to the dealer, you can do it. It just one lesson to learn that's all.
You will need to buy a drill bit that bite counter clockwise. I think they do sell that. Check with Sears.

Worse case, buy a pan from a junkyard.
Check with www.junkyarddog.com

Good Luck

I agree w/ VQT. I'm sure you can do it. If you had the knowledge to change the fluid yourself, you can get to those bolts off. You most likely have to remove some things that are in the way first. Good luck, and rebel against the dealers!!!
