Default My Black '93 (and a half) SC300

////// UPDATED with more pics below! //////

And here I present my '93.5 SC300. I say '93 and a half because the engine was taken from a '96 Japanese Supra, but is still a standard 2JZ-GE (factory SC 300 engine).

A quick few notes about myself and my car, as this is my "introductory" post:

- I studied quite a few cars before landing on the SC300... and I studied them all during a 4-month period of time. I believe my choice was a very well-educated one!!! (The cars were: '93-'95 6-spd Acura Legend, '97+ 5-spd Nissan Maxima, and the SC 300. Others included a few Subaru Imprezas, 3.5L Altimas, the Subaru SVC (I believe was the model), a few Preludes, and the S2000.)
- I'm 6'2 or 6'3; the SC300 was one of the few vehicles that could fit me comfortably, and I could even grow a few more inches lol! Incidentally, I do not fit in my partner's Acura (see below).
- I greatly enjoy chess. Therefore I have named my car Rook : ) (The Integra's name is Sylvia, no reference to the Nissan though hehe.)
- My plans for "Rook" are not terribly extensive outside of the basic "clean up" it needs badly. The former owner was a painter, and... well lets just say it's very obvious. In addition, he didn't really take too much care of the interior, and backed up into a poll or something :/ Not cool. Outside of cleaning it up, I want to hit the 300 HP mark (maaaaybe 350, time will tell) and want it SLIGHTLY lowered. (1/2 inch or an inch.)
- When I first got the car, it had massive tires up front and normal tires in back.............. fixed that first thing.
- My car is still the sad owner of the most embarrassing exhaust system I have yet to see on any SC 300. Just check for yourself! That is the next on my to-do list. (Edit: fixed PHEW!)
- My car's clutch squeals. It's terribly annoying. That's next after the ugly protrusions extending from the back of my car. (Edit: fixed with new clutch!)
- Antennae doesn't work (common problem we all share I suppose, $20 fix right?)
- The current positives of the car include a K&N air filter system, brand new Yokohama W4s' (225/45/17 very nice tires by the way, highly recommended), Konig Wheels, a '96 2JZ engine, and a nice stereo head-unit.)
- The rest you'll have to check out for yourself; I am putting them in thumbnails. Hope you like it as much as I do!

////// UPDATED with more pics below! //////

First, the pro's and neat pics:

My '93 SC300 and my wife's '89 Acura Integra

Top view SC300

Side View SC300

Konig Wheels

Secondly, the not-so-cool pics:

I expect an "ugliest rear-end award" for this one. Don't deny it either; this is the Pursuit of Imperfection! (Edit: now changed to close to stock Magnaflows for a quieter "Lexus" feel and look.)

Front Water-lights (Exit: fixed and brand-new!)

Cut off Tint!!! Also, if you look carefully you'll notice that the entire side of my window stripping is missing :/ Needless to say it's loud when you get past 80 or 90... really loud hissing noise at 130

Minor chip in the paint... rusted slightly here.

So a guy walks in to a bar. Er... the former owner drives backwards into a concrete pole... you decide.

Uhhhh..... wut dis be??? And... who installed it!?

hehe actually the exhaust doesn't sound bad at all... but you have to realize it's just like a resonator. Let me see if I can find the link I saw a few months ago...

Ah, here it is. But mine is on a Lexus instead of a pickup truck or a civic:

I bought my old Eclipse GSX way back when with a glasspack on it like that. Looked goofy as hell but really didn't sound half bad.

I've considered simply trying to mount them back so that they actually look appropriate, but what's the benefit? Just the sound? Nah, I'll just replace them when I do my headers/pipes. Got some more pics coming up soon!!! Just took 'em in a much better setting

More pics! These ones were taken in an empty parking lot near a forest-park. Nice area.
