I have a 1993 SC300, in the process of installing my head unit that is a single DIN and with the 1.5DIN space i plan on putting three 52mm gauges. What three do you guys think are good for a daily driver. I plan on going NA-T shortly. Boost gauge will most likely be used as one unless I can see the reason to have four gauges, then I will install a gauge to the left of the steering wheel and under the vent on that side. The surround of the three gauges will be either CF or some ABS.
Any suggestions or ideas on what three gauges to use?
1.???
2.???
3.???

booja -A/F will definately be the wideband variety I am going functional not bull****.
Hey 704, what did you use to hold your gauges? looks like they are angled towards the driver a bit. Looks good.
TRD What do you use your altimeter for? up and down mountains or just for kicks?

boost and a/f are useless. if you get your car tuned right and you didnt slack on building your car then you shouldnt ever have problems with boost and A/F. they will always be what you set it at. get the wideband to tune the car and then rent it out to local people and get some cash back.
i know that Dave at TF facotry doesnt even have an oxygen sensor on his s13. hes using an apexi power FC. he tuned the car once and locked the setting in the unit. no need for o2. hes been runnign like that for years with no problems at all. that speaks of tuning prowess and self confidence in building.
my 3 gauges...turbo or non turbo doesnt matter
1. oil pressure
2. oil temp...most people dont even know how important this one is
3. water temp...facotry gauge sucks
also you may consider egt but again...if you tune it right you dont need it.
you can get an HKS evc6 and call it a day. it will control and data log your boost. the best boost controller that i have ever had a chance to play with. its just insane. the greddy one is similar but still doesnt compare.

when your hittng 20+psi on boost you want to make sure fuel is there even with a standalone .. i dont want to hear kabooom to know i had a slight fuel problem.. egt just lets me know timing is on point and fuel is there in case wideband malfunctions...boost guage just lets me know block is tight pulling good vac and no boost leaks i rarely look at it

I am going to be running an Emanage Ultimate and I will datalog the A/F on my laptop but i want a real time A/F that I can look at for initial startup and idle tuning, til I can get the car to a dyno and good tuner. All opinions and ideas are welcome
. I like the idea of renting the wideband out too, get something back out of it. (not much but something.) I could definately see leaving it in though for those oh **** moments
