Did some searching and couldn't come up with anything about '06+ steering wheels from the GS300.

I know the ones before it fit, but am hoping the new ones fit as well.


Also, side question, the rx300 airbag is applicable to the IS300 steering wheel, correct?

SC300/400s will only accept single stage airbags: 1 clip in the back of the airbag, not 2. 2006+ is likely 2 stage and probably wouldnt work.

i wrote a thread about making a dual stage airbag work.
i got flamed for it a little cause its apparently dangerous.
however, i am enjoying my 2003 gs300 dual stage airbag.

all you have to do is swap out the connectors, which you will have to do regardless of whatever airbag you buy. unless of course you can find that little conversion harness that toyota makes and wait till it finally gets to you.

its in one of the many airbag/wheel threads i read through.
i am not sure if you can buy them anymore.

just swap your connectors. make sure you are not statically charged, wear rubber soles (shoes) and snip the oem connector off the oem bag. you have to do this cause the connector doesnt just pop out of the old kind of bags.

the newer type airbags, both single and dual stage, the connectors on the airbag actually just pop off (unlike your stock sc connector which is stuck in).
so pop it off, cut and attatch the new connetor with no risk because its not connected to the airbag, and simply plug it in when ur done.

I actually have 1 or 2 spare connectors (for dual stage bags) i bought off ebay. send me an envelope and ill send it to ya. *note* these are not the conversion harness, just a connector with 2 pre stripped wires.

iw as wondering does an es300 2002 -2003 fit into the sc 2000 steering wheels?
