i have a 92 and i was wondering if there was any difference between the other years for the front seats. more specifically the passengers seat. i like the seats i have and how they are powered with heated seating..thats why i want to stick with the oem seats. so is there any difference between them? like in the plug? are they direct plug n play deals? or would you have to splice some wires?

oh yea..and i forgot to mention..the reason i want the swap is because the seat no longer reclines back with the switch. but moving it front and back works..and tilting forward with the switch works..and the heated seating works..but reclining somehow doesnt work. would it be better/cheaper to buy the whole seat assembly? or is there a way i can fix/replace that motor?

^^^^on passanger side?
either way its most likely a bad switch and not the reclining motor itself. i had a similar issue in several Sc's. try doing this: instead of just pushing the button forward and back try pushing it in, towards the center of the car and then forward or back. it is most likely the contact in the switch. i havent seen many motors go out.
other then that the passenger seats should be the same.

thanks..okay..so i tried pushing the button inward and pushing it back..nothing happened..how hard is it to change the motor? would it be just logical to get a whole new seat?

When i test drove a 94' SC400, the seats felt stiff. The ones on my 97' feel very soft and comfortable. Same thing with the 98' SC300 i test drove. I think there is a difference between the 92-96 and the 97+. There's definately a difference in the 99-00 cause thats when they installed perforatted. Unfortunately ive never been in a 99-00 so i say exactly how good they are.
