Light weight, less sliding during hard cornering. Im rewrapping them in leather with microfiber so i dont think they will look too bad.

if you were going to rewrap them anyways and make them fit then get a set of evo recaros. those things are comfortable.

They are sw20 seats. My friend just bought an mr2 and is selling me the seats for cheap. Do you guys think it would be too dangerous if I made my own brackets?

i'd trust wedge engineering but if you know how to heli-arc weld and tig and use thick enough metel to do it go for it but the question is really do you trust your own work with your life

its not hard to make brackets. i made my own for both my s13 and my sc a while back when i had the JIC in there. if you have fabrication skills and know how to TIG weld really well then you are okay. you can use MIG but it doesnt look as pretty.

if you are not a good welder then i wouldnt try this because if your crappy weld breaks you and the seat become a massive projectile inside the car. bad news....

No way! Mine are really comfortable. I test drove an SC400 yesterday and I definitely like the MR2 seats better.
