Posted this in the lighting section without much help.
I have the stock projectors in my SC with an aftermarket HID kit. How would these lenses affect my light output and cutoff line? They are defintely clearer than the lenses that come stock in our projectors.

Better, worse, not much difference? Would they even fit in the stock projector? What do you think?

I want to punch SC drivers that just throw a HID kit without either de-lining or doing a retro of some type. What's even better is when they throw 8000k bulbs in, and have the housing pointing right at my head!
Do a retro, dont go cheap. Everyone knows the SC didn't come with HIDs. If your going to do it...do it right.

I don't think it will have much effect on your cutoff though, it may improve clarity, but if your going to go through the work of opening up the headlight you should just go for a full retrofit. That way you would be changing out the actual projector housing as well as the lens. Doing just the lens probably won't change a whole lot.

Retrofit is the way to go someday, but i;m satisfied with my kit now that my lights are properly aligned.

i have 6000k with deline headlights.. (black housing) so far its ok. but i believe the lens itself makes it crappy since its not crystal clear like TSX n such.. so i believe it would help.
Just try it out... wont hurt to find out =]
edit: BTW i have a 92.. n it HAS a cutoff .... kinda like

even if you have somewhat of a cutouff with halogen projector housings such as stock SC's, you will still have hot spots and what not.
With a retrofit you'll have perfect even lighting everywhere.
