add school tuition and credit cards for me...honestly I say get them, I saw Sportmaxx on a 97+ SC and the wheels looked nice with a drop..they were 19's by the way and im not sure of the model type.

Your other option is just to buy some tires for now and search for used wheels on here..I seen a few and prices are not bad either

If you like them, try them out. I think they would look pretty nice and are budget friendly. +35 wont stick totally flush, but if you don't like how they fit try on some spacers. I am running 245/35 (8.5")in the front and 275/30 (9.5") in the rear with a +38 offset, 19"s. I am lowered and I think the stance is nice although not super agressive. I have the fenders shaved and rolled due to running 20" wheels previously, but I'm pretty sure there would still be no rubbing if they weren't. And since you're looking at 18's you should have a little extra space and could run a thicker sidewall even probably. Just my .02, I say do what you want as it's your car. Not everyone spends a grip on wheels. I also recommend the comment made in here about checking out used sets as you can often find them with decent tires on them already for great prices. Good luck.

if budget and costs really is such an issue; you need to make sure you will be sticking w/ these wheels in the long haul; i've been there and done all of that with cheaper wheels, decided some time in that i wanted to make the upgrade, and took a $600 loss on re-selling a wheel/tire combo that originally came in at a thrifty $1200. it's the nature of the game, if you're going to buy new, you'll never see your money back. It's better to save up and be happy w/ what you got so you aren't putting yourself into these situations and taking needless losses.

also keep in mind the quality factor of a higher-priced rim; i've realized to be on the paranoid side of these things; though i'm sure some members have never had problems with bending or cracking their lower priced rims you never know what will happen with your wheels. Then you're assed out and need $100 to fix each crack or bend.
