Default Want your opinion on wheels

My stock tires are going bad so i decided that i might as well get rims while im at it. I am on a budget i like these but would like your opinions on it.
xxr 502 chromium black +35 offset, 18x8.5/9.5. Also if i decide to purchase these wheels, what size tires should i get for them. I am planning to lower my car soon also, and dont want the tires rubbing. Thanks in advance

Not a fan of sport max wheels at all, especially that design. Find some quality used wheels instead, that's what I'd do. +35 isn't gonna be that great of fitment either, if you do end up getting these, get some spacers as well.

Tire size, without rubbing and good fitment, I'd say go with like a 235/255 combo or something if you don't want to stretch.

Yeah i know sportmax isnt all that great, but i havent found anything better used. I am on a budget, and i like staggered wheels with big lips. What kinda offset would you guys recommend? Why should i get spacers? If you guys do have used wheels that are under $700 shipped let me know.

If you can get them for $400 or less, go for it. Otherwise, a set of ISx50 wheels would be 100x better.

The lesson here is not to buy cheap wheels... TRUST me you will regret it in the end. Save up and roll on stocks util you can afford nice ones.

save and buy better rims, you will end up doing it anyways. I put sport max on my s13 and sold them a few months later.

Cool

JDM and high-dollar wheel snobs don't balance your budget. It's hard to get ANY wheel recommendations on here that aren't Work or Volk or BBS (LMs), etc. High dollar wheel recommendations are ubiquitous on car enthusiast forums, but rarely practical for us middle class slobs with multiple financial obligations.

A year ago, I was under a time and budget constraint much like you, went with some SportMax 962s and haven't looked back (until I typed this - now I'm sure I'll go out and they've folded like wet cardboard ). They never cease to get compliments from enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts.

Get what you like and can afford now, and like me, you can move on to something more expensive when you save up or hit the lottery (IF you're not so pleased with your current wheels that you just decide to keep them).
