They produce a better output when using HIDS in the stock housing.

I want new headlights and fogs for my car one day since I'm sick of seeing the dull lens, but I'd have to redo my retrofit.

Yea...that was the plan until I was offered some decent $$ for mines and I had to think very hard about buying new ones, glad I made the right choice lol!

I wouldnt be surprised, those so called "security" we have would not even notice...I still think your lights are in real good condition..but we all know how much of a perfectionist you are

Oh when are you free? I wanted you to look at the car, its not driving right..seems like a boost spike or its running too rich...

those are nice and clean..thats what i need to do next on my car..if i get the 2000+ headlights..would it still be recommended to do a retro fit for hids? or am i better off getting earlier headlights and retro-fitting them?

It is always recommended to do a retrofit if you want HIDs, but the 2000+ ones are supposed to be better than previous years if you choose to use a pnp HID kit. If you get 2000+ headlights and do the retro it'll look brand new compared to using an older headlight and doing the retro, but the cost is a lot higher since brand new lights are not cheap.
