I like to keep mine out while driving around the city, but on long trips, I'll put it back in. The only problem is that taking it out causes it to look like the wooden cover is collapsing. I know for Matrixes, they have a plastic cover that goes over the spare wheel, and supports the carpet if the wheel is taken off. Is there anything like that for our cars? Or if you have any other ideas, tell me what you guys used.
I think you might need a new trunk carpet. The wood might be giving out on yours. I havent had my spare in years and it never sinks in. I do plan on filling the spare area with something..maybe a couple viair compressors..
I keep a spare tire (not a spare wheel) inside. Whenever I change tires, I just keep one of them in case anything happens. Hopefully nothing will, but you never know right?
