I have an older sc '92 and the turning lights are in front bumbers only turn on when the turn signals are turned on. How can i rewire them so that they turn on with the headlights??

I have not actually tried this but I had printed it a while ago from the old lexus site so I'm not an expert on this but it should work...keep in mind the angle is different for cornering lights

the easiest way to wire the the cornering lamps in parallell with the park lamp wiring. This will allow you to control power to the cornering lamps.

whenever you turn on the park lamps which is the first setting this will turn on the orange side markers and the cornering lights as well

you should also include an inline fuse in the cornering light wiring to protect againts overloading

I personally plan to be a little creative with mine by cutting and modifying the actual cornering light housing to fit some aftermarket fogs when I get the time and materials together ...good luck !!

That sounds like a great idea! Put a small projector beam within the clear housing... That way you can aim them properly, wouldn't have to worry about modifying the reflector that is already in there. The only obvious problem I see is the heat... Are these lenses and assemblies up to 50 or so watts of heat? As cornering lights, the wattage lower.

I think I will try this also...I actually disconnected mine altogether b/c I hate the way it looks when I have a signal on!

What fuse do I use inline??????15A, 20A.....what?

should I leave the ground wire alone and only connect the power/hot wire inline with the driving lights???

So I searched and found this, its over 10 years old but was never resolved. Surely this has been done numerous times since then, anyone care to offer some insight?

I have the 92 front bumper and plan to keep it so I want to wire these turning lights as fogs. Is it as easy as wiring in a fuse and splicing them into the bumper signals? Even better, what about adding a 3k HID kit? Too hot?

I've read on the forum that these earlier cornering light housings cannot withstand a lot of heat, they will melt, what i simply did was wired my corner lights to the yellow sidemarkers, no fuse needed and they work fine and I put some ebay 120 led bulbs in, they're not ment to provide much lighting but they look great.

they dont melt, the bulbs just burn out alot -
