Default TC and check engine

I purchased the dragon converter from someone on the board and had it installed. everything feels fine but the check engine light comes on after about 15 miles of driving. If I reset, it comes back on in 15. The code is P0770, which indicates a stuck shift solenoid (seems to shift fine) or that the converter is not locking at the speed the ECU would like (seems reasonable). Has anyone with the precision industries dragon converter had a similar problem (96 SC400)?

I really don't want to put another $400 just to put the stock converter back in, that would make it a $1,500 bad experiment.

Thanks,

-Ed

Sounds like who ever put it in, might have messed up a sensor. Bring it back to where you had it installed and have them look at it. I have that exact TC and have had no problems over the past year.

So, tell us what your impression of the car is now that the Dragon Torque Converter is installed?

Are your gear shift transitions (both up and down) as smooth as they were before?

Am I correct in understanding that the cost to do the installation was $400ish? Who did you have do it?

The TC does not affect the shifts at all by sheer function alone.
