Hi all, great forum! Nice to see all these friendly folks and valuable resources.
I'm the proud new owner of a '97 SC300 - 121k, AT, Renaissance red (love the color!). It drives like a dream, with one exception - the suspension. It's got D2 coilovers, is lowered to about 3" ground clearance, and is just too stiff.
Yea, I know - but I hope you'll welcome me anyway. I'm 54, and while I can certainly appreciate the handling, I can't tolerate the ride. What I would like is near-stock ride height, with slightly stiffer than stock spring rate and damping. Can these coilovers do this, or should I revert to stock struts and springs?
Thanks much!

welcome to the club!
coilovers: im not familar with the D2 coilovers if they were dampening adjustable, but try raising it as you want it to be and test it. if there is not dampening adjustment, then you may want so Teins for comfort or you can go with a lowering spring/shock combo.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
lastly how about some pics of that beast!

Soften the dampening adjustments also if you want to keep the coilovers so the car can still be low I would just buy springs with a softer rate. Swift makes really good springs so I would suggest that
