Alright, so most of you know how I got hit. The estimate came back @ $3219.44 -- They want me to use used tail-lights & rear bumper assembly. They dream.
But that's not my main beef. The big problem is that I am the primary driver of the car, and I'm not elegable for a loaner or rental in MA because I'm only 18. Insurance doesn't cover it or something. Is there any way around this? They're gonna be replacing the rear 1/4 panel, so it's gonna be in the shop for over a week... They also have to straighten the frame, the LX-470 caught it just right... oh well, gotta love the unibodies. So anyhow, andyone know where you can get a under 25 loaner car in new-england (in NY you can be 18 tho!)

Same deal happens to me in CA. When I'm in for an all day service job, I can't get a loaner OR rental car because I'm under 25. It's just a dumb store policy, no laws against it. They figure giving a 19 year old a shiny new RX300 to drive around town, that I'll hit speed bumps going 40mph, try defeating traction control by burning out, off-road!!!, etc. It's understandable from a business perspective. When you're like 21 or 22 the service manager will make exceptions on your behalf (especially when you pull in with a GS430 on dubs). But if you can find a car rental agency that'll rent out to 18 and over, Lexus will/should cover that charge. I believe the dealership only deals through Hertz and Enterprise, which are large national chains that don't rent to 18 year olds.
That sucks about your car.
