welcome to the forums, Tune up should be the first item on the list. IF you intent on swapping, you should just get it out of the way first, i've been putting mines on hold for a long time. which i regret.

don't do vertical/lambo doors, we will mock you (fair warning, haha)

Haha, that's understandable. As for the swap, going to have to wait until after I graduate. Having a TT setup in Atlanta traffic for going to school and work is going to be killer (clutch and gas wise).

Anyone have any experience with high miled SCs? I would also highly regret putting all that money into the car only to find out I had a bad egg and i'm not really sure how efficient Lexus or Toyota inspections are so I figured i'd just do the 100k or w/e tune up.

These cars last hundreds of thousands of miles as long as they're taken care of properly. And get air suspension. A handful of members have it here and their SC's are just damn sexy.

on those vertical doors.

If you want a "baller" look, check out the Junction Produce Scara Japan's, they are similar to the wheels in the first link. They are a bit spendy, lol but maybe reconsider the TV's for the wheels?
I just question how often you'll be driving around passengers in a 2 door coupe, for the TV's to be worth it? (just my opinion)

You should get bags! Love the look!

I don't know about the HIDS, I'd imagine they'd be fine, as they are stock in some cars. I guess if you got pulled over and said they were stock, you might get away with it since it's a Lexus. But trying that with a Daewoo might be difficult.

Keep us posted on the work! :]

the sc's will last you a long time even with that many miles on them.
i would suggest first thing you do is making the car run very well like do all the maintnance that is needed.
second since you want to make the car more of a luxury car, no tv's all over the place, let it look clean the way is intended, once you start adding all sorts of things everywhere, it'll look like too much and possibly ricing out the sc.

You said you saw sc's gone wild? save the headrest tv's and all that stuff and put it into a nice suspension, clean up the headlights and fix any dings or dents that the car may have. When the sc is in good condition, it looks much better than a fixed up car with crappy interior and paint chips everywhere.

On the last note, this is your car so whatever you want to do with it, do it, dont let others talk you out of doing something to your car if you really want to. This is my 2 cents. Good luck with modding!

Awesome, thanks for all of the response guys! You all are a lot more welcoming than I would've guessed, being that it's a Lexus forum and all haha. And it's really reassuring to hear that the SC's motor can hang out that long as long as it's maintained. As mentioned, the tune up is easily the thing for me to do first, regardless if it was already done or not. It's a piece of mind type of deal.

Yeah the only thing that's stopping me from the bags at the moment is my lack of research. I know i'll have to do some fender modification and such and I really don't want the smooth ride to be destroyed, i'll search around but if anyone has any nice setups or links to a good setup please send it my way. I figured i'd just get bags instead of a body kit.
