Default Changing weather stripping on sunroof

Has anyone changed the weather stripping on the sunroof for the SC300? The problems I'm having is when it rains really hard some water will seep in and when I'm on the highway the wind noise is much louder than it should be. I checked the drain holes and they are all clear.

i have an LS, but i guess the problem is pretty similar.. mine makes a noise on the highway too, did you guys try tilting it up a tinyyy bit, it gets rid of my wind noise. i know my weather stripping needs to be changed.. it's kinda hanging off the sunroof on the back

how about stick some rtv between it? from the body to the rubber stripping. its a DIY fix for the targas on the mk3, it might work for that also as its a similar concept. might work, try it, its alot cheaper haha

there are a few threads about this problem here, and the fix i got from them was to put a line of weather stripping tape (spongy strip with sticky side) in between the stripping and the glass (you'll see how it works when you take the sunroof off). You probably wont get away with a strip around the whole window though.. i tried that and my sunroof wouldn't fit in the hole! just along the front edge should do the trick... no more noise! Keep in mind you're only expanding the diameter by a matter of inches!

BTW If you try buying 'new' weather stripping online you will only get this spongy tape NOT the actual rubber weather stripping!!!!!!

..hope this helps
