i have the same thing in my car. luckily my drivers seat is stuck in a perfectly comfortable position and i don't have to scoot it forward or backwards but i'm not so lucky with the passengers seat cause it's scooted all the way forward and it's stuck. i talked to some techs and they said it's either the seat rail ( it's broken or there's something stuck that keeps the seat from moving) or one the motors down there is done-zo and that's why it won't move. a tech is gonna be looking at the seats later today like around 5ish so i'll keep you posted and tell you how it goes

There's a white plastic screw thing that tends to break. When I first got my SC, only one side of the seat would move. My friend and I took it all apart and found the white plastic screw was messed up. We manually moved the seat all the way back then disconencted the motor, haha.

If the motor has some bad field windings inside it you may tap on it with a rod if you can reach it. It should be able to move if that is the issue. It could also be a detached plug going to the motor. If that doesn't work you would have to remove the seat from the floor or remove the rail either of which you can reach first or at all.

Oh **** the seat moved.. but me being excited i kept holding it. seat moved up and forward but to the Left.. Left side will nt move and seat wont got back... took a day off... But I'm back to the hammer Idea.. got new seats and I want them in ... Saw the SC's Gone Wild and have totally lost my mind!!! I want my car right .. and I cant wait...
