size of the wheel...ie 17", 18", 19" has little to do with fender modifications. its about the wheel width, offset, and how low your car is.

the lower you go the more camber you will have and it will be easier to fit big wheels. my wheels on stock ride height stick out about 1.5-2 inches all around but after i dropped it the wheels are flush.

look in the wheel thread and see what wheel you like and what you want to do with the car.

good fitting wheels at stock ride height and slammed ride height will have very different offsets.

good luck

welcome and common sizes would be 18's and 19's. Lower it, you will camber and depending on the offset and tire width, you may rub or you may not. Search and you shall find.
Size wise, its really up to you.

Yeah, 18s or 19s. 17s or less are too small. 20s and up are too big.

So far as fender modifications, it all depends on offset and ride height and width of the wheels.

Like someone else suggested, there is a Wheel Fitment thread, I suggest browsing that to get an idea of what'll fit.

I say 19 is a good choice if you plan on running an aggresive drop and don't want to loose too much performance. Although I used to dislike 20" wheels on the SC but they have grown on me. I had 19"s on my SC and they seemed too small, because the SC has such a long body.

And I am stuck with my 16" stock wheels.

If you do go bigger then stock you will have to lower the car to compensate for the larger diameter of the wheels.

20s if you're planning to get a body kit, 19s if you plan to stay stock...

I ran 20's on my car for quite awhile and I really like how they fit, some might say too big but I disagree as long as you at least have a 97+ kit and are lowered. I did switch to 19's though as I came up on a deal on a set of wheels that were more my style. If you go with a 18 or 19 it's easier to fit a staggered setup as well. What are you trying to do with your car as far as mod plans?

Wellllll I like to run my car really low, 20s would be too big, plus tires would be out the *** expensive. lol, I try and find used tires, and 19s are already hard enough to come by.

I'm running 19x10.5 all around, and I'm at zero fender gap up front, tucking a little in the back. Some poke in the back. Offsets are +30 up front, +25 out back...or vice versa, I can't remember now. lol

Dude those tires should be expensive being they are wide 19's... But I drive my friends sc300 with an autocouture kit often and it have some nice 20's on it and we did not even modify anything..... and there wide.... like ten inches wide.
