ok so if i speed up quickly the brake light goes out
as soon as i let off the gas the light comes back on
then after a while to goes out again
all the lights work ive had my friend drive behind me
then this morning my batt light came on
so im thinking that the alt went out
the power steering pump was replaced by the original owner but not the alt
so im guessing after 14 years it punked out![Uhh...](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/1387914497.gif)

1. Check the level of your brake fluid. If its low, fill it. The brake light should go out. Check your pads before you do this because it might be time to replace them.
2. Go to an auto parts store and they will test the batt and alternator. If you need brakes you are already there so pick some up.

Next thing you can try is checking the sensor on your ebrake. Those are the ONLY 2 things that will trip that light. I'm surprised that it wasnt the fluid. The way you explained it I was sure that's what it was. If its not the ebrake sensor then its a bad sensor in the fluid reservoir.
Anyway, it wouldn't be the bulbs themselves. They wont trip the "BRAKE" light. There is a separate warning light for those.

Aliga should have an alternator.

Might just want to replace both depending on how old your battery is.
Do not over fill the brake reservoir! If you are up to the Full line keep it there. There might just be a loose wire to the sensor since it affected by acceleration.

Then Id say its definitely NOT the battery. Either way get them both tested at the parts store. If the battery is shot Im sure you'll have a warranty on it. You live in a warmer place so Its not likely the fluid level in the battery was affected by temperature.
