Removal of black rubber piece on front of SC400
I need to take this piece off to fix it (it's ripped), but I can't figure out how to get it off. The screws accessible from below are just for support. It's being held on by [totally rusted] screws that I can't seem to get to. Anyone got any tips? Please don't tell me you have to take the whole front bumper assembly off.

Here's a tip...
I have run into similar problems often in my dealings with Toyotas. They tend to use stainless screws on the VISIBLE areas of the exterior, but, use cheap rust-prone screws on the underside and non-visible areas of the exterior. But, there is one advantage to this, you can use a chisel or a file with an edge or even a slim flat blade scredriver and a hammer and shear the heads off these cheap screws. After you get the part off, you can use a drill to drill out the remainder or just use a pair of vice grips and twist the screw body out. Be careful, though, it doesnt take alot of force or effort to snap the heads off, and if you over do it, you could damage a visible body panel or break/chip a chunk of plastic. use a small block of wood to support the chisel if you don't have enough of a "shelf" to wedge it between. Hope this helps, let me know how you do!

I was able to get it off. I had to remove three under-engine plastic shields, then I could access the rusted screws, which came off okay (hex head screws). I hope I can get this thing back on once I epoxy it back together (actually, I'm epoxying a reinforcing backing to the section that is broken).
