Default Need help disarming factory alarm

Hey guys, I just recently purchased a '97 SC300. I was out eating and forgot my wallet in my car, when I went out to get it I went through the passenger side and set off the factory alarm. I tried everything to disarm the alarm that I can think of with no luck. I have searched here on the forums and cant find anything. Is there a special way to disarm it? you can PM me or email me if you dont want the info public, I really didnt want to leave the car at the restaurant over night but it looks like I have no choice.

On a side note: I only got one key with the car without the keyless entry, could this be my problem?

Thanks in advance

I tried that, I even called Lexus and the lady told me to "Put the key in the driver door, turn it left-right -left-right and leave the key in the door for one minute and it should start" Still nothing. Thanks for the advice though.

You unlocked the door from the passenger side. You have to lock that door again, then do the left right trick on that passenger side door.

The power locks only work sometimes, before I left the car I used them. Think that might be the problem? they have not worked since. I hate guessing stuff over the internet but I wouldnt know were to look first, the only other cars I have ever owned were fossil mustangs.

not too sure about this...but ill give a shot. Don't know if 97s have a switch for the keyless entry underneath the dash right below the steering wheel. Try to turn it off and do what people have been telling you. hope that helps
